Power Rangers vs. Sentai

Title says it all. But it's also not what you think. This will be posted in the Sentai forum, only backwards.

So, why do you like PR over Sentai? What do you wish PR had from Sentai? And why do you feel PR is in more aspects superior to Sentai?

Well, anyway, to answer the question.

The thing I don't like about Sentai, and most Japanese shows, it the "cutesyness," the over dramatic themes, and the music. I can't stand Japanese music as a whole. It's like nails on a chalkboard for me. The pre-race "rock" concert in Motegi a few weeks ago was enough for me to turn off the broadcast.

And the cutsyness. From what I have seen they always have to have that over cutsy character or two that just makes you gag. And then that character's character inadvertently affects the PR character later because of the Sentai shots when they are morphed, which makes for those moments that make the PR character look either very stupid, or seem totally out of character or most times both.

The over dramatic themes, I don't think that one really needs and explanation.

Bottom line it simply is not my cup of tea.

That's not a burn. That's a statement. And being the boss I can post it wherever I want. You better believe the next time you or DHA post something in the wrong areas (and you both have in the past), I'll be all over that like white on rice.

I just think the Japanese have a very thin line between reality and anime. It's not that I hate it. I just think there's a very big difference. There's some things that you can do in anime, that you should never do in live action. 'Nough said.

The Sentai Series have more drama and background to it...includin' the weird music after ever video...except of the endin' of Gekiranger lol.....but.....Power Rangers have all the friendship and kindness of what should happen in the world...i know that sounds weird...but if you watch...i know maybe like two or three people who actually act like that.....
