lol. I've got to find a place to download the episodes. The show isn't available in my area (I don't get the channel it's on..blech!) and I just bought a new computer and have lost all my website links that I had on my old computer (argg..I forgot to transfer them over!!!). Any suggestions?? Henshin Empire was the only website that I could still remember the addy for, and when I tried to log on..somehow, my membership no longer existed. I admit, I haven't posted much due to work schedule (in the summer..I average around 80 hrs a week) but I do try to visit every two or three months to at least *read* everyone's posts |

Alright, here's what I think about the first episode: Everything seemed a little rushed, just like Operation Overdrive, and just like Overdrive, Mystic Force, and SPD, Red was once again, the last one to morph. The Jungle Pride Megazord? Totally kickass. Best Megazord I've seen in 16 years. Amazingly agile, powerful, and very sleek looking too. I just got the toy Sunday and I have to say I am impressed with it as well. I'll have pics and a review up in the Merchandise section later on possibly, not for sure yet, but BOT, the Ranger suits and helmets are very sweet, and I have to say I'm lovin the way they morph, but like everyone else, the Geki Changers would've been a better touch, rather than quote unquote "Solar Morphers" and is it just me or does anyone else other than me suspect that RJ will be the White Rhino Ranger? I really have a strong suspicion it'll be him. Hmmmm......

I think the bug needs to go though. Beside not having a storyline I care for the bug is the only thing I'm finding annoying so far. | |

Tonight's episode wan't that bad: I missed the premire but i've been watching since then and I can't say i'm not impressed. It definitely captures my attention a lot more than Operation Overdrive did! Like others though i'm a little annoyed that none of these episodes seem like they carry much into the plot. I like the characters but everything just feels really sporadic: there isn't much of a storyline and there doesn't seem to be even a hint of some kind of "lesson learned" by the end of the show. After all of this filler early on i'm worried about what kind of course the rest of the season is going to take. |

I was talking with a friend last night and I think JF is trying to go back to the original concept of PR, back to the MMPR-era basically. The show starts and ends with the teenagers having fun and hanging out, like it did in MMPR, Zeo and Turbo. And I like the youthful concept of the show - Jarrod/Daishi, Camille, RJ, Fran, they've given the show a more youthful appeal, which was what it was back in the original era. And I think the Jungle Plaza Pizza or whatever the name of it, is almost kind of like the Youth Center, only instead of Ernie running it, RJ does and it sells Pizzas instead of smoothies. I also like that they are getting back to the original martial arts concept. I do think there are lessons to be learned from the episodes I've seen so far. And I agree, the fly needs to die. Someone just get a huge flyswatter and kill the damn thing, because he is just annoying - the zord fights are bad enough half the thime without someone comentating, but the fly just makes them worse. All in all, the season is kind of stupid, so far, with no plotline, which I agree about and am annoyed by as well, but I'm actually getting into it. Lately I've needed something to make me laugh and this is it. I just hope JF actually becomes something and doesn't just go with whatever pops into their mind episode after episode. |

OK so episode 3 of Jungle Fury and so far I've been largely positive about the season, all 3 episodes so far. Allthough I saw a recurring trend of the past few seasons rearing it's head at the end of this episode. Namely the excessive use of CGI Wire-Fu and Explosion-happiness. I sincerely hope that trend stays at the minimum it is now and doesn't develop any further. OK on with the good stuff. The episode I loved the little Casey/Lily moment. While I don't think it'll become something serious it did bring a smile to my face. The first fight scenes rocked again, awesome usage of martial arts! The five fingers of evil, in on word: way cool (ok it's two words, but who's counting). Finally a "team" of evil semi-rangers that I can take seriously. These guys and girl bring back memories of the Psycho Rangers. Ah there's another Casey/Lily moment and another smile on my face as the episode ends. |
