We all at one point was watching Power Rangers/American tokusatsu. My question to you all is how did you find out about its Japanese counterpart?

I had no idea that Power Rangers used Japanese footage until I joined the old PRE (about a year and a half ago). This was right when Boukenger was airing, so I got curious and downloaded TV-N's episodes. From there I got into Kabuto, and...yeah.

And please don't ever say "American toku."

Just kinda stumbled on it, the first proper sentai i saw was magiranger, then kinda followed on from there. I now watch both sentai and pr counterparts. I got interested by the fact that in looks their the same but different in story except for the recent Pr there nearly ripping all eps lol but yeah been a sentai fan a good 3/4 years

I found out about Super Sentai when Gingaman was around while we had PRiS. I was on the PRC site and when I looked in the link section, there was the link to the Super Sentai Time capsule so I went there and learned about that PR came from Super Sentai.

I learned when I stumbled onto Supersentai.com a while back. Then I read up on Magiranger and decided to watch it.

I kinda knew about Sentai ever since about the time that Time Force was airing. But I never saw a full episode or movie till I watched Megaranger vs Gingaman about 2 years ago RAW. Then 2 summers ago I watched a few clips then stumbled onto RT, the PRE. From there I started to watch Boukenger while it was in mid season from Youtube. Then Kabuto, the yeh...same as Kev.

I knew the Rangers where from a Japanese show when I was in year 7, around 11/12 because of RB but I never saw a full ep until I was 14/15 because I didn't have the net at home and the schools net was dile up speeds. I started watching Kamen Rider when I was 16, randomly decided to check it out since there was a huge thread of DDs on RB.

I kinda found it out through my sister. She was watching something on Youtube the other day, so I asked her what she was watching, so it got me wondering bout Sentai from that day on. Now, I love it.
