Okay... We've all seen the very FIRST episode of Power Rangers (well... the majority of us have I hope). Jason, Billy, Zack, Trini, and Kimberly receive their morphers and BAM! We have Rangers...

But a question comes to mind... Are they truly the FIRST Power Rangers? From different evidence and point of views, it's hard to tell exactly who is the first Power Ranger... Or Rangers, depending on which theory you choose to follow.

The first and most obvious theory is that Jason, Billy, Zack, Trini, and Kimberly got they're morphers and they were the first RANGERS. In many retrospects that's true, but if you go a little farther down the timeline, guess who we meet? The Wild West Rangers.

Now begins the controversy. Kimberly could be considered the first Ranger because it is she who goes back into the past, has a morpher, and has already morphed into a Ranger beforehand.

One weird, but very true theory is that, during the morphing sequence in episode 1, since Zack is the first to yell his "Dinosaur", he was the first to transform. Thus, making him the first Ranger.

And this last theory I've made is probably the best answer, but that's up to you to decide.
I was recently re-watching Time Force and I totally forgot about this part.
Wes or Eric could be the first Ranger.

In the episode when the quest to bring back the Q-Rex to the present begins, they are sent back to the time of the dinosaurs. According to Eric, "My guess is... We went back about 150 million years..."
150 Million years is obviously farther back than the constant battles we keep hearing about that apparently occurred 10,000 years ago.

During that time in the past, in order to stop Commando-Con, Wes morphed. So is Wes the first Ranger? Maybe...
Eric also appears after this battle in his morphed form, which now challenges this theory because it is now unknown wheater Eric morphed before, after, or at the same time as Wes.

One point that support Eric is that the Q-Rex was back in time with them. As true as it is, this point is HIGHLY unlikely.

So, what are your thoughts? Who is the very FIRST Power Ranger?

From the storyline's side:
1. In "Day Of The Dumpster", Zack, Kimberly, Trini, Billy and Jason get chosen by Zordon and become the world's very first modern-day Power Rangers.
2. In "Wild West Rangers, Part II", Kimberly is trapped back in time and recruits 4 teens. Those teens (minus Kimberly) become world's ancient Power Rangers.
3. In Wild Force, in distant past, Merrick is cursed by the Wolf Mask and becomes Zen-Aku. He is trapped in a tomb and put to sleep by the Ancient Warriors (his friends). Therefore, they might have been world's very first Power Rangers.
4. In PR Lost Galaxy, on Mirinoi, over a millenium ago, the Quasar Sabers are placed into certain rocks on Mirinoi. So the very first users of the Quasar Sabers might have been the very first Power Rangers.
5. Eric, in PR Time Force, found the Quantium Controller in the present, so it is unlikely that he was the very first Power Ranger. Besides, the Quantium Controller was made by Time Force.
6. The Ancient Mystic Warriors also had powers. And that was before the MMPR era. Maybe the Ancient Mystic Force team was the very first PR team.

From the morphing side:
Just because Zack morphs first, that doesn't mean that he is the world's very first Power Ranger. The morphing sequence could start with either Jason, Kimberly, Trini or even with Billy! Or maybe even with Tommy, if Zordon would originally choose six teenagers to be PR...

From my point of view, the very first MMPR team was the very first PR team ever.
Either them or the very first team of ancient warriors which had any Ranger arsenal at their disposal.

Well the conventional way to think of this is that the original 5 were the first rangers. That was how the show was presented to us in the first place and that view was further substantiated in Dino Thunder.

When you account for all the points of views like rangers from the future things get interesting. Funny thing. although it seems that they became rangers before the original 5 they themselves credit them as being their predecessors. [Did I confuse you there? lol]

Then there is the back-in-time scenario. In Kim's case - she was already a ranger before she went back.

Anyway, my my conclusion is that Jason, Trini Kimberly, Zack and Billy were the first rangers.

so by that theory the first 5 are the first Power Rangers

All of you are wrong. The Alien Rangers are the very first Power Rangers.

How did you come up with that theory? The Alien Rangers didn't make an appearance until the last 10 episodes of S3. Yes, Ninjor did gave them their Battleborgs over a millenia or so ago, but did they actually got to use their Ranger Powers back then, we don't know that. They do control their Battleborgs telepathicly, but it wasn't said that they couldn't control them unmorphed.

ok and were are you guys getting eric he got the quantam power inthe past 150 million years but didnt morph until they were at that power plant or wherever they were

it was the fact that he morphed in that time (which really was 65 million years ago) making him to be one of the first Power Rangers seen on earth.

Okay my thought is

MMPR s1 5 are the 1st power rangers because as it has been stated all the predating fighters were known as warriors. But then that raises a question what about the wild west rangers. Well if you think about it MMPR s1 rangers got the powers before they did because Kimberley went back and more or less gave them the power (Yes I know that Zordon actually did). It can send you cross eyed but it sorta makes sense.

But here is another point Zordon was an inter dimensional being caught in a time warp right? So How come he didn't know Kim when she entered The CC in Wild West Rangers era to me if you are in that sucker time warps so you experience all the different times at the same onest which is kinda mind blowing.But if he saw her coming he probably would have known Andros had to destroy the tube. Which means all at once he would have given the coins to the original 5 given the coins to the wild west 4 gotten destroyed by andros helped Tommy with his powers wash the floor do the dishes... That is one hell of a way to be living I have gone slightly cross eyed I will pass out in confusion
