Engine Sentai Go-onger Discussion Thread *Spoilers*

For me Go-Onger feels like just what ive been needing lately. It has that mostly lighthearted and slightly over the top feeling that I've been sorely missing recently

This episode shows us how the Go-onger can communicate with their Enjins by holograms. Also, in this episode, we see how Sosuke, Renn and Saki became Go-ongers. I really like how Gunpei got emotional after everything was explain. Apparentally, Renn used to have a pimp cane. The villains so far are still unremarkable and Bomper's full of surprises. Also, Hant and Gunpei apparently don't need to insert Soul Chips into their Shift Changers in order to henshin. The fight at the dam with the core three and the Gaiarc was well done and made great use of the Mantan Gun.

The mech battle was good even with Engine-oh doubling as a bridge, plus it gave Hant and Gunpei something do during the crisis then just stand around and watch. Saki's pose still sucks, it's like it's screaming "Spank my ass!" Next week, the core three get use to their new team members.

That was good, but it makes me wonder what sort of idiot would continue to drive across a broken bridge during a giant monster/mecha battle.

Sentai's not so complex you can't get what's going on without subs. Plus, watching Toku with subs you pick up certain words. Watching the RAW, you can get the jist of it, but them watching the sub, you get the details and things you missed in the dialogues.

Well, passing over the fact that I was kidding...

I've seen quite a bit of toku without subs. I think I've picked up enough Japanese to understand, anyway. I prefer not to miss anything, though -- not enough time to watch an episode twice. Since I know Go-Onger'll be subbed, I'm waiting.
