Superhuman Strength, Super Speed, Super Hearing, Flight, Heat Vision and Freeze Breath.

Invisibility, Teleportation, or some variation of fire manipulation would be cool, I think.

I would have psychic powers, that would be so much fun to move things with my mind, there are so many people I could freak out with that.

The moent you have those powers, people will notice. Before you know it, the goverment will be all over you poking you in places you don't like to be poked. So do something that is not going to get you in the picture, or you'll have a situation as in x-men or something similar. Communicating with dead people won't let anyone take you seriously, except believers in char and such perhaps. So that would be safe, as well as 'reading persons' as most people can develop it themselves, but you are just best at it.

Teleportation, flying, super speed, super strength, it would all be noticed. Reading thoughts would also be disadviced. Just look into your own dirty mind. Would you want to see that in another person? i believe it would drive you mad very soon.

What works for you does not work for others, and vice versa.

That is why some people chose to use their powers to defend and not destroy. It would possibly I would do, if I was in this situation, but of couse I would wear a mask to keep my identity a secret.
