well at least the nhra is already working to fix the issue

one week ago scott kalitta died when his nitro powered funny car engine exploded. the car's parachutes did nothing to slow the car and the car slammed into a wall at the end of the track at 300 mph. well the nhra is looking at increasing the runoff area on the tracks, better parachute locations, an actual brake system, and looking at slowing the cars down. in only 1 week the nhra ha sstarted to look into those areas. i am happy about that. hopefully along the way they will look at just about everything on the tracks and in the cars. and hopefully keep the drivers safe. in just over 1 year 2 funny car drivers have died as a result of crashes.

To be fair, I would watch more racing if stuff like this happened more often.
