| What the title says. What are the scariest movies you've seen? Basically I'm asking this because I want to see something that is actually scary. I've watched so many horror movies the past couple months and nothing has impressed me. The last movie I watched was Room 1408 and I'll tell you that one bombed. It was like a comedy that tried to be a horror film. But I've also watched higher ranked movies and still none have impressed me. So let's hear'em! |

| Obviously it depends on your definition of scary, but believe me I'm right there with ya on needing something to scary to watch. With that in mind... Session 9 - psychological more than anything perhaps, but worth it. And it certainly has its moments. Stir of Echos - Okay, it doesn't scare me but it's listed as a horror and it's a fave of mine, so yeah. My Little Eye - more psychologic, but then I am very partial to movies that could actually happen and while this one's more mystery than horror, it certainly has its moments and some carnage candy. That's all I got... very little scares me when it comes to movies any more (I didn't even jump at the bus scene of Final Destination) :(

See that's the way with me. Everyone talks about how scary The Grudge is and others, but they don't have effect on me! But yeah, every once in awhile you just want to get the crap scared out of ya, but it's near impossible with the movies out today. I don't like gorey, as it's just fake and, well, it's just gross, not scary. And, yeah, idk, just nothing seems to be scary. | |

| Yeah, the studios seem to think gore equals horror - it doesn't. Never has, never will. And honestly, I was bored out of my mind during The Ring and The Grudge and the only time I jumped during the original version of The Eye was when a friend kept putting his hand to my knee and asking if I was "scared yet". And yeah, that's also why I didn't mention Rob Zombie's movies. Sure I like House... and Rejects but they are more gore than a scarefest. I'd nominate Gravedancers but the effects are downright laughable towards the end so whatever scares you had before kind of melt away. But overall it can be a decent watch on just the right night... I'll list more if I think of 'em

I thought 28 weeks later was scary, I hid behind my boyfriend most of the movie, although it was because of the zombies, I hate zombies, although they don't bother me so much now. What really scared me was House of the Dead 2, Dan Southworth was in one of the first scenes and becomes a zombie, I hated it so much, nearly turned the movie off because of that. Nothing else has really bothered me, I thought the film Ghost Game was quite creepy, although I'm not sure if its been released in the USA since its a Thai movie. |

| No movies really scare me except for Signs. I have no idea why it scared me so bad. But gore does not equal horror. It equals blood. Thats about it.
