Actually I agree with Mes. I've heard grown women tell me personally that's why they even had their kids. No matter if they're 16 or 36 - either way, for a woman to have a kid just for that reason is very, very wrong imo. Especially given the fact that the kid will grow up resenting their mother for having had them for no other reason than their selfish gain. And to me, this sounds exactly like that

It's horrible that women can think they can justify a decision like that.

How true that is. You should want a kid because you want one not for attention pretty much. And like Elsa said the kid will grow to hate and resent them. Which is such a bad thing for a kid to feel.

I couldn't believe how stupid these girls were when I first heard it. They will regret having kids within months. I feel worse for the parents for being just as stupid. I'm 21 and I have no intentions on having a kid until I'm able to handle that responsibility. They want it so they can raise their kids together? They can do that when they were in their 20s! They are wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too young to be having kids! Though the youngest known to my Sociology Prof was pregnant at 11 and had her kid when she was 12 so there are stupid people everywhere apparently.

yeah...i'm sorry, but even if you think you're the motherly type if you seriously think it's a good idea to get pregnant while you're in high school just because some moron on TV did it, then somebody needs to shake your head really hard because your brain must be REEEALLY stuck.
