| Next to never for me. I would have to say my normal use of it is usually to let people know I'm joking about something, or, if it is someone else's joke I am responding to, it's usually just a response. I think if I actually find something funny I switch to ROFL or hahahaha. But I have been known to think lol instead of actually, shall we say, generating the typical true response of actually laughing :p |

| lol I don't necessarily laugh out LOUD when I type l-o-l. It depends on how funny a joke is then I laugh out loud and instead of typing l-o-l I type things like "ROFL!!!", "LMAO" "HAAAAAAA HA HA HA!" etc.... :-p Interesting topic; I don't think it is stupid at all. |

| Lol. xD Well I don't actually laugh out loud, but I do laugh. But really, it depends on how funny a topic (like this :), a line, or a sentence is. Most of the time, though, I do laugh, even if its just a simply chuckle. I just don't laugh hysterically, because then people will think I'm weird, even though that's already been vindicated. |
