DULUTH, Ga. -- A massive fire at a Gwinnett County recycling plant shut down busy Satellite Blvd. Thursday morning.

The fire at the Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful Recycling Bank burned through stacks of recycled materials and several buildings at the site.
The fire started late Wednesday night. There were no injuries as firefighters got the fire under control about 5 a.m., but continued to pour water on hot spots. The facility, at 4300 Satellite Blvd., recycles plastics, glass, aluminum cans, cardboard and newspapers.

Umm, yeah

This was my night last night. I live directly across the street from this... All I can say is it looked like a volcano from where I was, the complex (at least mine and those close to it) nearly had to evacuate - whole deal. And firefighters are still there putting out the hot spots

Woah...good thing I got none of these near me. I bet the fire must of been huge cause of the the paper and cardboard crap.

Uhh, yeah - I'm across the street from it - as in, there's a 5-lane, if not a 6-lane road between and we almost had to evacuate... I'd say that's huge

I'm happy your ok though. That seems like one massive fire. Man that's heavy duty bad. But your ok so yeah.

Glad you're okay, but I'm gonna bet that breathing in that smoke wasn't good for your lungs with all the cardboard, paper and possibly hazardous materials that you find in a recycling plant

Hey, I always thought Earth had a cheaper and more efficient way of recycling. Guess I was right!
