| The rumours are true: critically acclaimed Take-Two shooter BioShock is finally, definitely coming to PlayStation 3. Details are thin on the ground at the moment (i.e. there are none), but the next issue of UK PlayStation mag PSM3 - which is on UK newsstands June 5 - promises a lengthy preview of the PS3 version along with a depth charge of screenshots. The highly lauded shooter was originally an Xbox 360 exclusive, but rumours of a PS3 version have been surfacing even before its release. We called Take-Two's UK office who would only give us a flat "no comment". That being the case, expect an official announcement somewhere down the line. There's another European mag that's touting the game in its upcoming issue too. We're beginning to see a pattern emerging here... We've no idea what, if anything, the PS3 version will get in the way of extra content. The only extra stuff 360 and PC versions got post-release were new plasmids. But frankly we had such a bloody good time exploring Rapture on PC and 360 that we're well up for another dive on PS3. News: BioShock PS3 confirmed - ComputerAndVideoGames.com |

| It will suck on PS3, it will suffer conversion bugs, slow down and other errors that come with games being converted from 360 to PS3.

| Funny really. At least on the PS3 people can play it without fear of getting the RROD and not seeing the use of the game or system for weeks on end. As well, no one has stated what new features, graphics capabilities, etc. are coming for it. I highly doubt it will be a straight up conversion. In fact it was stated by EGM: Quote:
Keep in mind that the only games that have sucked cross platform were the ones that were done at the same time and were developed on the 360 first and launched at the same time. The games that came out on the PS3 later have generally been better than the 360 version. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is an example of that with much faster load times and better graphics. As is GTA4. (And for those Xbox 360 GTA4 purists. The 360 sold more because there are more systems out there at the moment. BUT the PS3 had a much higher attachment rate than the 360 did. MEANING, that even though the 360 version sold better, the PS3 version sold more per console. As well, the load times and graphics have been stated numerous times to be better on the PS3.) I wouldn't say the 360 is less expensive hardware. In fact, if you want wi-fi alone it makes it more expensive than the PS3 40GB. And that's on a system with a 20GB hard drive and a horrible failure rate. Let alone high-def capabilities like Blu-Ray. Start doing the math. Just think. I could conquer the same game on the PS3 in the amount of time it takes for the 360 to come back from the repair shop. If it didn't scratch your disc first. lol.

Hell, even I had a 360 that was getting the RROD. Funny how some people will say the paying thing if it's against what they like. Regardless of the fact the person making the statement may have the 360, PS3, and Wii. ;) It doesn't matter how it looks. It's the factual statements that hurt the most. That simply cannot be denied. Just because 1 may work, doesn't mean the next 5 are or haven't gotten the RROD. I've personally talked with people offline that have gone through NUMEROUS 360's. It's not a small percentage either. Why do you think Microsoft extended the warranty to 3 years? ;) Xbox 360 failure rates worse than most consumer electronics

Just not keen on 3, that's all. Quote:
I...this shocks me! Quote:
Oh, that's right. I don't. I have a 360 that I barely even play anymore that I purchased with my own money accumulated with a summer job. I have a Wii that I wanted MORE than either system but couldn't get one until the entire family wanted one. So I have one next gen, the 360, that I'm immensely indifferent towards, and I have the Wii, which I like. I've played the PS3, my friend has one, and I'm just not fond of it. I really am not. It's too expensive, Sixaxis is a gimmick, and a decent amount of titles are cross platform, which I could get for my perfect working used 360 that I got for way less money. I have no reason to like it, and you don't need to get your fanboy panties in a twist over two minor comments against your precious Sony.
