That Y2K crap was so rediculous, and had gotten so old. As is the talk of global warming today, well, and since at least the 70s, and come 2011 I know we will be hearing about the following year being "doomsday." So old.

Oddly enough I've heard that as soon as an Antenna Tower, such as one used for Cell-phone services, comes up in an area, the Bee population within a certain radius drastically plummets. Maybe if there weren't so many cell phones in the world and not as drastic a need for these towers then perhaps the bees would come back.

We'll still have the plants, just not as many species or as much diversity (there's about 750,000 types of plant species out there and we find more every day) |

And it's a good thing because there is no way bees would be able to pollinate all of the plants that grow today. It's been years since I studied plants in school, but I know for a fact that some plants can pollinate themselves, and other plants, like the apple trees just out side my window, are close enough that the wind is sufficiant enough to pollinate them. Pollinators can range from all forms of bugs, to animals, and humans, and again, even the wind plays a factor. It's just another cry of wolf. I'd be willing to place 10 bucks on that even though this article states bees are dying out another one says they are actually making a comeback. You can't just stop and read two or three articles and say, yes, this is the way it is. You have to see both sides before making a decision. And there are almost always at least two sides to every story. |
