I can see what you mean. My forum has been pretty slow lately and yet it seems high in the top sites, which shouldn't be true. As for the sites, I find it to be an ideal way to promote them to fans. I personally think the topsites is a great service, but it probably makes more sense for sites, rather than forums.

BTW, which of the sites is the "deadest" based on your previous comment?

Ranger RetroCenter. Your sites are far more active as is. Let alone your forums. Yet there it sits at #3 continually. Same thing with 'After the Power'. Not to say they are bad sites. But I know as fact their activity levels and visitiation levels aren't quite there you could say.

It promotes the sites yes. But at the same time it gives a false sense of how a site is really doing and can unfairly overun sites that ARE doing good by those that aren't by cheating. My site hasn't been promoted for a few days now and it's still in the top 10. lol Residual traffic from other sites may be doing it. But it's still mind bending.

Well said. I may follow your steps by removing my forum from the top sites as well. As mentioned before, it makes more sense for sites to be on the top sites because forums tend to be more active than sites and can lead to unfair judgement.

I still visit both sites (once in awhile), especially After the Power. I didn't hear about AtP till couple months ago and its actually a pretty cool blog dedicated to the cast members.
