| Lord of Thunder | I have closed Henshin Empire temporily while I work on it and push it to 1.5 status. The site will be back up soon. Until then, people are being referred here to PRE. So please make sure to welcome any possible new comers. When Henshin Empire re-opens things will be much more defined and Henshin Wars will be back online. Expected downtime? TBA. (To Be Announced.) |

| Lord of Thunder | The reason I'm splitting PR and Sentai Henshin (into PRE and HEMP) is pretty obvious by now. The fact is, Sentai and PR cannot co-exist without conflict. While I find Sentai goofier than hell, some that like it find PR a disgrace. Even though it's publically known both are going for different demographics and age groups. Seriously, next time you eat at your favorite restaraunt, complain about how the food there is cooked differently than elsewhere. How even though your favorite sandwich or salad uses the same ingredients as elsewhere, just in a different fashion and for a different cliental. It is the same argument. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Or comparing green vs. purple. It's a pointless, useless, stupid argument that goes nowhere, has no valid point, and is generally used by those that just like to start crap within the fandom for the lack of anything actually constructive or useful to actually contribute to it. Some people just get their rocks off by doing the whole Sentai vs. PR crap. IMO humble opinion, the whole argument is childish as all hell and is counterproductive to BOTH fandoms. A person can blame each season of the new Sentai or PR programming for why fewer people are joining or not as active in the fandom. But I can tell you all as fact, it has less to do with the shows and more to do with the fandom itself. And until some thick headed people realize that, NOTHING will change. I have seen and talked to people that are starting to really hate both fandoms because of this stupid and childish infighting between it. A few points: 1. In the U.S. would singing and dancing monsters and bad guys (let alone Rangers) with a singing and dancing opening and ending, let alone the good and bad guys doing it all together, do well outside of Japan? Likely no. PR would likely never have made it past its first season if that happened. For obvious reasons. 2. Would swearing and semi-nudity be allowed outside of Japan for a kids show? Most places, no. 3. Would the use of actual weapons be allowed to be used in a live action kids show, ala Abaranger, outside of Japan ? In most cases no. Theres that fine line between reality and fantasy. These are just a few points. People wanted PR to be more like Sentai. And when they (Disney) did that, then people started complaining about the differences between the 2 even worse. It's pathetic. It's like some people want a 100% translation. There is no happy medium. It will NEVER happen. Time to get over it. Things usually get changed, edited, etc. for political, religious, and demographic and age reasons to cater to the targeted audiences outside of Japan. Personally, I like watching PR over Sentai just because of the fact it usually gets rid of the silly stuff and keeps the action core. You don't have talking morphers or Dinosaurs. Can you imagine Dino Thunder if Tommys Zord started talking back to him?! O_o. Let alone his morpher?! PR would have died along time ago if Disney or Saban went the Sentai purest route. Sentai does way better in Japan than outside of it. For obvious reasons. PR does better outside of Japan than Sentai does, for obvious reasons. It's much the same reason why the Sony and Nintendo video game systems do better in Japan than say something like the Xbox 360. Demographics. People can like what they like. But the whole Sentai/PR argument IMO is gay as hell. I need to take the time to re-work Henshin Empire partially because I'm still not sure what happened between Fri. night and Sat. morning. I have never seen anything like it before. So I need to make sure it's not part of something bigger. As well, I need to archive all PR topics and re-do the forums a bit to be more on par with PRE's in terms of layout and such. As well as to launch the new skins and so on. HEMP will be re-opening soon. So don't worry. |

I agree with you completely. The whole PR vs. SS stuff is getting sick and out of control. I come on PRE and HEMP to enjoy myself, not to read/see Power Rangers vs. Super Sentai World War. I like both shows (more PR than Sentai) and filling the fandom with PR vs. SS trash isn't going to help neither PR and neither SS.

| Five by Five | I agree Meso the PR vs SS fights are crazy I like both shows and it makes me sick when peeps fight about them I say if you don't like how PR is different from SS don't watch it or write a fic about how you'd want it and leave the rest of us out of the arguement |

Dunno sometimes those debates can be quite entertaining (and true) but oh well. Either way im wishing HEMP would be up again already my day seems slightly hollow without it

As for the arguments. I would say 99% of the ones I have ever seen were just plain useless and stupid. It's like comparing Hello Kitty to the Smurfs. And most of those arguments would just turn into ugly flame fests. | |
