Title says it all. But it's also not what you think. This will be posted in the Power Rangers forum, only backwards.

So, why do you like Sentai over PR? What do you wish Sentai had from PR? And why do you feel Sentai is in more aspects superior to PR?

Besides it being the original, its seems to have a lot more dimension that PR. Nowadays, PR seems very one-dimensional. The characters dont seem to have a much personality as they used to. And the ones that try to, try too hard.

I dont know, I just like the style of Sentai more than the style of PR, well as far as Disney is concerned, but I wont get to into that. Ill just make a comparison: Gekiranger vs Jungle Fury. Now, Ive only seen the first few episodes of Jungle Fury while seeing all of Gekiranger. But, I mean come on, Martial Arts students end up working in a Pizza joint? How more dumbed down can it get. It had soo much potential to be kickass with the whole Martial Arts premise. All the had to do is change the character of Jan, which most people didnt like though i did, and change the story to some other type of rivalry, and it would be pretty good. I know PR is trying to be original, and I respect that, but sometimes it makes decisions that seem way to cheesy. And yes, I know its a kids show and its supposed to be cheesy. But, I mean, if seasons like In Space and Time Force can succeed, why not others?

Okay, too much of a fanboy rant over there. But you get the picture. Sentai, though it can be just as cheesy, gets down to the nitty-gritty pretty quickly and makes it awesome. PR seems like it makes it an afterthought.

The main difference between the 2 that makes me like Sentai a bit more has to be the fact that there's actual blood and death in Sentai, that makes it seem more real to me

ok I've only seen Abaranger and I liked it because the story line was better and the evil white ranger was more explored than in Dino Thunder. I liked how the Abarenjaa kept their injuries outside of being morphed and like I said the story line was better with more plot twists and such but I still like Dino Thunder too :D

I like sentai more than the Rangers due to the more mature story lines. The Rangers are awesome, but not recently. I've been re-watching, or trying to re-watch some of the Disney seasons, but the problem I'm having is I can't stand it, the eps bore me and the actors are annoying as hell. I've actually kept up with Jungle Fury and so far I am liking that, the stories aren't as good as Gekiranger, but I still like it for some reason. They kept in a lot of the martial arts which I love, especially since I now train in Wutan Kung Fu and can name a few of the things they do.
My favourite season of the Rangers is Time Force, but I still like Timeranger over it, but I watch Time Force a lot more. The Rangers will always be special, I grew up with them and so I will always love watching time force and the previous seasons, but overall sentai is the way forwards, well apart from Go-onger, I couldn't watch further than the first ep.
