Well, Jesus was born to a Jewish mother & a Jewish step-father (remember Jesus was conceived of Mary & God through the Holy Ghost) and grew up as a Jew. This was before the Bible was butchered at the Council of Nicea to become roughly what it is today (before getting translated from the original Hebrew, Greek and the other various languages parts of it were written in).
