Re: The Bees are disappearing? Bees are only one form of pollinization. Sure they help, but they are hardly the only source out there. And it's a good thing because there is no way bees would be able to pollinate all of the plants that grow today.
It's been years since I studied plants in school, but I know for a fact that some plants can pollinate themselves, and other plants, like the apple trees just out side my window, are close enough that the wind is sufficiant enough to pollinate them. Pollinators can range from all forms of bugs, to animals, and humans, and again, even the wind plays a factor.
It's just another cry of wolf. I'd be willing to place 10 bucks on that even though this article states bees are dying out another one says they are actually making a comeback. You can't just stop and read two or three articles and say, yes, this is the way it is. You have to see both sides before making a decision. And there are almost always at least two sides to every story. |
