If you are talking about the show, and only the show. Then the fact is, if you posess a morpher and gain the powers from it, you are a Power Ranger. Be it good or evil. Some can debate all they want if he was a Ranger before he gained the morpher. But the fact is, he does indeed posess one. Same with Solaris Knight. Thus, they too are Power Rangers.

I mean, the Power Rangers as a whole have shown people turning into Power Rangers (when evil) without actually morphing. Does that mean they aren't Power Rangers yet? No. As long as they posess or posessed the ability to morph. As long as they get or have a morpher. They are considered Power Rangers. Evil the Psycho Rangers were considered Rangers for crying out loud! Albeit evil.

Case in point:

YouTube - PRDT Episode 13.3 White thunder Part 3

Skip ahead to 5:45. This is Trent turning into the White Dino Ranger w/o actually morphing.

YouTube - Power Rangers Mystic Force Final Morph

This is the final Mystic Force roll call. Powers are lost. But 'magic' caused them to morph, without actually morphing. This includes Leanbow and Solaris Knight. In the final roll call he yells out "Wolf Warrior!". Solaris Knight yells out his own name. But does that mean they aren't Power Rangers because they didn't yell out their color with the words 'Power Ranger' attached to it. No. They don't need to be in spandex and calling out their color when they morph to be considered Power Rangers. They posessed the ability to morph and become Power Rangers long before it was shown they could. Solaris proves this. He had his alternate form. As did Leanbow.

However, if you are talking about reality, where people are sitting at their comps wearing a morpher or going out in public wearing it, it just means they like playing with their toys.
